Snowshoeing

Today, we mostly slept late and watched the Parade of Roses (snowboarding bulldogs!) and college football, but we also got out late in the afternoon for some snowshoeing on a local path maintained by the conservation committee.  (Photos taken on smartphone – quality not great.)

Field near entry to snowshoeing trail — the sky wasn’t really blue but grey and it was snowing lightly:

Someone has set up chairs for better viewing of the stream — or as a place to sit and adjust snowshoes or skis. Or maybe it’s art.

There’s both a log and a crafted bridge over this stream (on snowshoes, we took the bridge):

Nearby, a large tree had been uprooted:

The path is short but interesting because it leads through fields, over and alongside many streams, and through piney woods.
